The Mayor lead the proceedings The French flower, the equivalent to the British Poppy is called Le Bleuet or Cornflower, and was chosen because there is blue on the French flag, and the French soldiers uniform.
The man with the the medals is Matthew Stephen’s ex Welsh Guards
